Safe Catch is a food company out of Sausalito, California that tests fish for mercury before canning and selling it. High levels of mercury in fish is unsafe to consume, particularly for children and pregnant women. Safe Catch claims its product is “the lowest mercury tuna of any brand.” The two founders of Safe Catch, childhood friends Bryan and Sean, use proprietary technology to test every fish they catch for mercury levels. They will demonstrate the technology on Shark Tank (November 4).
