In the Madam Secretary episode ‘The Linchpin’, while Secretary Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) negotiates a regime change in Algeria in an attempt to prevent a civil war. But when the trusted U.S. Ambassador to Algeria Roy Curtis (Dakin Matthews) unexpectedly dies, Elizabeth has to really scramble to help keep the North African country together.
