In the American Horror Story: Roanoke Chapter 4 episode, Shelby Miller (Lily Rabe) and Matt Miller (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) encounter Cricket Marlowe, a diminutive (4’11”) medium who claims to find lost children. Wearing a black cassock and Andy Warhol-like wig he reprimands the Millers: “I told the butcher (Kathy Bates) you’d leave and you sure as hell didn’t.”
Cricket Marlowe is portrayed by Leslie Jordan. This isn’t his first time on AHS. He appeared on 3 episodes of AHS 3 (Coven) as Quentin Fleming. Jordan is also known for his recurring roles on Con Man (Leslie Jordan), Raising Hope (Reverend Bob), Desperate Housewives (Felix Bergman), Privileged (Dale Dart), Will & Grace (Beverley Leslie), Boston Legal with James Spader, William Shatner and Candice Bergen (Bernard Ferrion), Boston Public and Ally McBeal (Dr. Benjamin Harris), Hearts Afire with John Ritter, Bodies of Evidence with George Clooney, and Reasonable Doubts with Mark Harmon and Marlee Matlin, among many others.
