O.J. Simpson lives in Nevada. In the Lovelock Correctional Center, to be more exact. One of the world’s most famous people, Simpson — a former NFL superstar and media favorite — was acquitted in what was widely known as the “trial of the century.” Simpson’s 1995 verdict delivery was watched on TV by 100 million people. He was acquitted of the 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown-Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman.
Simpson didn’t fare as well in his next legal run-in: he was convicted in association with an armed robbery in 2008, which is why he’s in Lovelock — a cruel, taunting name for a prison if there ever was one. Simpson will be eligible for parole in 2017. He is 69 years old.
