The two founders of the Miss Black USA pageant are the stars of the new reality TV show, Little Miss Atlanta. “Everyone knows that Atlanta is the black Hollywood mecca, and now I’m trying to make it the black pageant mecca, too,” says co-founder Jasmine Crowe. The little diva contestants are cute but when the producers point a camera on them and ask what they like most about pageants, many say, “winning” and “trophies.”
The cameras will follow the contestants as they and their parents prepare them to do just that — to win — including getting their eyebrows arched at the age of 6. And when those cute little divas don’t win, it’s the mothers who throw the tantrums. Little Miss Atlanta airs Wednesdays at 10pm on TLC.
