It’s down to the Top 3 cooks on MasterChef, Season 7. Fifth grade teacher Brandi Mudd will compete against DJ Shaun O’Neale and poker player David Williams. David is not the fan favorite to win. The day of the two-hour finale (September 14), David wrote a long blog entry to explain to fans that “reality TV shows are highly edited. They aren’t exactly ‘reality.’” He addresses why “the entire world is rooting against me.”
David admits “my behavior wasn’t good and I looked bad” and “I understand I didn’t represent myself well at all and of course I wish I could go back in time and do it differently.” On the show Gordon asked David why he didn’t appear happy after making it to the finale, and David says he answered (he was feeling awful for Tanorria who didn’t make it) but his answer didn’t air. “As I’ve said before, when you want someone to be the villain you can’t show them having compassion and being humble in victory.” The Season 7 finale of MasterChef will air Wednesday, September 14 at 8pm on FOX.
