On Manzo’d with Children, Lauren Manzo Scalia is preparing to open her second FullBlown by Caffee salon in New Jersey. (The first one is in Franklin Lakes; this one is in Wayne.) For the Wayne store, Lauren doesn’t have the financial help of her parents, so she’s on a low budget. To help advertise the salon, she’s throwing a grand opening party. She also wants to make a commercial; one that will debut at the party. That’s where her brother Chris Manzo comes in. Lauren liked the video Chris made for their parents’ wedding anniversary (he had all three adult kids pose/reenact scenes captured in childhood photos), and so she asked him to take on the FullBlown assignment.

Before agreeing to the job, Chris says: “so long as I get full reign…over casting, art direction…” When Lauren interrupts to ask if she can see it before the opening, Chris doesn’t hesitate to say “Absolutely not.” Lauren has just two rules: “Keep it simple, and keep it about the salon.” Chris accepts — but his idea of “keeping it simple” isn’t the same as his sister’s. Manzo’d with Children airs Sundays at 9pm on Bravo.
