In the Fear the Walking Dead episode ‘Grotesque,’ young Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) continues to search for answers which FWD network AMC says will lead him into “a deadly dog-eat-dog landscape.” While the encroaching zombies will doubtless be as grotesque as the title of the episode implies, the promotional photography for the episode is the opposite of grotesque. The dry, natural California landscape captured in the photographs is stunning.
Kudos to AMC photographer Richard Foreman Jr. He knows how to insert beauty in gore. Foreman was the still photographer on the set of the savagely beautiful No County For Old Men, too, among many others. Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
