Howard Stern was just celebrating the anniversary of the mind-blowing studio visit Lady Gaga made to the Stern Show five years ago. He talked about how it was like nothing he’d ever heard before, and one of his show’s best all-time moments. Then this week the moth-collecting Norwegian singer AURORA came in, talked some crazy, and covered David Bowie’s “Life on Mars.” Stern later said he’d like to have her on the show every week. (She’s promoting All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend.)
To hear from fans, Stern must have meant he’d like AURORA to perform every week, because they didn’t like the interview much, chiming in with “i’m dying a slow death listening to this interview” and “first time in a long time that I changed channels during an interview…” But the channel changer missed the Bowie song, which rewarded patience. (And some thought she was “so interesting and talented” even during the interview part.)
