In the Fresh off the Boat episode “Rent Day,” Jessica (Constance Wu) convinces Honey (Chelsea Crisp) and Grandma (Lucille Soong) to rent the flip house instead of selling it, so they can make more money. When Honey and Grandma tell Jessica they don’t want to be landlords, Jessica tells them she’ll take care of everything. Jessica finds what she thinks are the perfect renters — a young, attractive, neat couple — but once in the house, they turn out to be renters from hell…with live chickens.
The renters are portrayed by Allison Scagliotti and John Francis Daley. Scagliotti is known for her roles on Stitchers (Camille), Warehouse 13 (Claudia), Drake & Josh (Mindy), and One Tree Hill (Abby). Daley is known for his roles on Bones (Dr. Lance Sweets), Boston Public (Anthony Ward), The Geena Davis Show (Carter Ryan), Freaks and Geeks (Sam Weir) and in the film Horrible Bosses (Carter). Fresh off the Boat airs Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC.
