Former president Bill Clinton and potential First Spouse has been on the receiving end of some nasty tweets by Donald Trump, who labeled Clinton the “worse abuser” of U.S. women “in political history.” Clinton has weathered his share of attacks. Trump’s Twitter tirade ranks low on the list for a man who once woke daily to the specter of independent counsel Kenneth Starr and his multi-billion dollar investigation into Clinton’s closets. That was serious. Trump’s digs are political gamesmanship, something Clinton also knows about. (Bill and Hillary were guests at Trump’s third wedding.)
Asked whether he will defend himself against Trump’s accusations, Clinton said, “No. I think people are smart enough to figure this out without my help.”
