Julianne “Jules” (née Forrest) Wainstein is the new cast member of The Real Housewives of New York City. (She’s replacing Heather Thompson.) The 34-year-old Wainstein is half Asian, half Jewish. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology (Ramona Singer‘s alma mater, too), Jules became an event planner for the Women’s International Zionist Organization. At the age of 27, in 2008, she married Michael Wainstein, who is nine years her senior.
Michael Wainstein is a principal of the Private Capital Group in Manhattan. He’s a NYU and New York Law School graduate. Wainstein made Page Six in 2014 after his business partnership with twin nightclub promoters Derek and Daniel Koch took a nasty turn. Michael and Jules, the only real Housewife on the show, live in Tribeca with their two children, Jagger and Rio. Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
