In the TV movie Hearts of Spring, single dad Dr. Andy Sommers meets single mom Carly Ashby (Lisa Whelchel) in the park. They hit it off and go out on a date. Things get awkward when they discover that Carly is the mommy blogger who gave out parenting advice that Andy totally disagreed with — and he’d let her know it on her blog.

Andy is portrayed by Michael Shanks. The Canadian actor is known for his roles on Saving Hope (Dr. Charlie Harris), Smallville (Carter Hall aka Hawkman), Stargate SG-1 (Dr. Daniel Jackson), Burn Notice (Victor), 24 (Mark Bishop), and in the TV movie Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story (Gordie Howe). Hearts of Spring will premiere on Hallmark Channel on April 9 at 9pm. It will air again on April 10 at 3pm and April 16 at 7pm.
