In the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 5 premiere episode “Of Kings and Queens,” while Momma Dee voices her disapproval of Rasheeda and Kirk leaving her son Scrappy high and dry, everyone else is talking about the two new stars of the show, D. Smith and Betty Idol.
D. Smith is the first transgender woman to appear on the show. The two-time Grammy award winning producer has worked with everyone in the business from Lil Wayne (The Carter III) and Andre 3000 to Ciara and Gwen Stefani. She is resilient and ready to fight for what’s her as the tattoo across her collar bone reads” “Shoot Me Down” (which is the title of the song she sang with Lil Wayne, before she transitioned into a woman). Her latest hit is “I’m That Bitch” (see video below). Love & Hip Hop Atlanta airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
