In the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 5 premiere episode “Of Kings and Queens,” there’s some familiar faces and some fresh ones. While Momma Dee is upset with Rasheeda and Kirk for leaving Scrappy high and dry, attention will be paid to newcombers D. Smith and Betty Idol. D. Smith, the first transgender woman on a Love & Hip Hop show, is a two-time Grammy Award-winning producer, and her BFF Betty Idol has her eyes on a Grammy in the near future.
Betty Idol is a 26-year-old rising star singer from Houston, Texas. She brought D. Smith on the show because together, according to Betty, “We write hits and make hits.” Betty Idol most recently collaborated with 2Chainz on the song “Blue Dolphin” on his mixtape “Trapavelli Tre” (see photo below). Love & Hip Hop Atlanta airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
