In the 100th New Girl episode, “Goosebumps Walkway,” Zooey Deschanel returns as Jess. Her return from jury duty means that temporary roommate Reagan (Megan Fox) is moving out of the loft…and out of Nick’s (Jake Johnson) life. Hijinks continue to ensue when Jess tries to uncover the true identity of one of the jurors she was sequestered with, and Winston and Cece help Schmidt get over his fear of public dancing. Along the way, they meet Gary.
Gary is portrayed by Demetri Martin. The native New Yorker is best known for his standup comedy, his own TV show Important Things with Demetri Martin, and as a being a writer for Late Night with Conan O’Brien. As an actor, Martin has landed roles in films including Analyze That and Contagion, and has had a recurring role on House of Lies (Ellis Hightower). Note: Martin also provides the voice of Ice Bear in the Cartoon Network animated series We Bare Bears. And he has a great head of hair. New Girl airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
