Two Texas sorority sisters – Megan Jackson Carreker and Aimee Miller – are behind Hip Chixs, a line of denim jeans that eliminate “whale tales” and “muffin tops.” They pitched the business on Shark Tank in 2013 but had sold only $12,000 worth of product at that point. None of the Sharks bit. Queen of QVC Lori Greiner told them to try designing something else, something unique.
