On The Profit, Marcus Lemonis visits four of the companies he’s invested in, including SJC Drums, a drum company in Southbridge, Massachusetts founded by two brothers, Mike and Scott J. Ciprari. They’ve come a long way from making custom drums in their grandmother’s basement. SJC Drums has become a million-dollar business but has been “plagued by a clash of egos and family feuds” between the brothers. Things got so bad that Mike eventually bought out Scott’s half so they didn’t have to interact.
On The Profit, Lemonis brought salesman Scott back to help make a deal with Sam Ash to sell SJC Drums in their retail stores. The deal fell through. As did the attempt to reunite the brothers. In January 2016, Lemonis confirmed that Scott Ciprari is no longer involved in the business. The Profit airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
