Canada is a quiet tastemaker in America. They’ve sent the US everyone from Jim Carrey and Pamela Anderson to Celine Dion and two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash — not to mention Leonard Cohen and about half the NHL. Of more recent Canadian vintage are Justin Bieber and the trailblazing entertainer Drake. And now, Ruffles All Dressed potato chips.
[You can even order Ruffles All Dressed at Amazon — with a movie]
Sure, Frito-Lay — the Ruffles maker — is an American company. But it’s Canada where unique Ruffles All Dressed flavor originates. Sweet and savory — the same combo Drake uses, BTW — the Ruffles All Dressed will now be available in America permanently after a successful tour last fall. Look for the familiar maple leaf on the bag. Ruffles is really doing the only reasonable thing, responding to requests like this on Facebook: “Please don’t stop selling them in the States! I love them. I need to be able to get them all the time.” Wish granted.
