Skyler Scarlett and his sister Brittney Scarlett call themselves the “Ice Siblings.” They’re the founders of Glacé Cryotherapy. Cryotherapy is quite the craze in California (where the Ice Siblings are from). Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, who suffers from Lyme disease, swears by cryotherapy as a way to reduce inflammation. It involves stepping into an individual sauna (or booth) that emits freezing nitrogen air. (One-time sessions go for about $65.) Athletes are big proponents of cryotherapy, too. According to the Glacé website, “The Dallas Mavericks were one of the first US sports teams to use Cryotherapy when they were using it for their 2011 Championship season.”

Speaking of the Mavericks, the Ice Siblings will pitch their business, Glace Cryotherapy, on Shark Tank — where Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is a Shark in residence. They’ve done a great job expanding the business — there are currently seven Glacé Cryotherapy centers. Four of them are in California — in Carmel, Los Gatos, San Francisco, and San Jose. Others are in Niceville, Florida, Las Vegas, and Medford, Oregon. Will an investor like Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban — who can probably attest to the benefits of cryotherapy — take bite out of the growing business? Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
