Who Is Shop Teacher Mrs. Murdock In ‘Grease: Live’?

In Grease the musical, one of the teachers at Rydell High School is shop teacher Mrs. Murdock. In the 1978 film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, Mrs. Murdock was portrayed by Alice Ghostley (Designing Women, Bewitched, Mayberry R.F.D.). In the 2016 three-hour TV broadcast Grease: Live, Mrs. Murdock is portrayed by Eve Plumb.

If you are old enough to have watched the 1978 Grease in the movie theater, then the name Eve Plumb probably rings a bell (as does the name George Glass). Plumb played “the middle sister” Jan Brady in the popular 1970s sitcom The Brady Bunch. Since then Plumb has appeared on several TV shows including That ‘70s Show, Law & Order: SVU, and Army Wives, among others. Grease: Live will premiere on January 31 at 7pm on FOX.
