Singer/songwriter Dan Overlock is auditioning on the 15th and final season of American Idol. He’s from Guilford, Connecticut, the same town where Season 14 winner Nick Fradiani hails from. “I knew him since high school. He was the captain of my basketball team,” said Overlock. “After college, we moved in together, lived right down here in Milford together for about a year, did music together, wrote, played and all that kind of stuff.” Weeks after winning American Idol, Fradiani went on “The Dan Patrick Show” where Overlock (aka “Two-a-Days“) works as an assistant producer and nudged Overlock to audition for Season 15.
When Overlock was asked what he’ll do if he doesn’t advance, he said, “If I don’t, obviously, I just go back to doing my job.” American Idol airs Wednesdays at 8pm on FOX.
