Dalia Dippolito is the young woman who reacted dramatically when she was told by Boynton Beach police that her husband Michael Dippolito had been killed. A video captured her hysterical, and being consoled by one of the police officers. But it was a set-up by the cops who were tipped off about Dalia plotting to murder Michael. Prior to that, they filmed Dalia talking to a hitman who asked Dalia if she’s sure she wanted him to do it. She said, “I’m 5000 percent sure.”

A jury found Dalia Dippolito guilty. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison for solicitation of murder. But the decision was overturned last year (“the jury had been improperly selected”). Now Dalia is on house arrest, waiting on appeal for a new trial in May 2016. Guided by a new legal team, Dalia says she was acting on those tapes with the hitman. She claims “her now ex-husband and a friend set up the whole murder-for-hire video” ala an episode of Burn Notice in hopes of posting it on YouTube and gaining reality TV fame.” ABC 20/20 will air its exclusive interview with Dalia Dippolito on December 4 at 10pm.
