In the Life in Pieces episode “Godparent Turkey Corn Farts,” Tim (Dan Bakkedahl) and Sophia (Giselle Eisenberg) try to replace Heather’s spoiled turkey while Colleen’s (Angelique Cabral) cauliflower dish doesn’t sit well with the family or their guest. Joan (Dianne Wiest) invites Gary, a recently widowed neighbor, to the Thanksgiving dinner. He’s led to the dining room by a live turkey.
Gary Timpkins is portrayed by veteran actor Martin Mull. He got his big break on the Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman show (Garth Gimble) in the 1970s. Since then he’s appeared on many TV shows — from LA Law to The Larry Sanders Show. Mull is best known for his recurring roles on Roseanne (Leon Carp), Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (Principal Willard Kraft), The Ellen Show (Mr. Munn), Two and a Half Men (Russell the pharmacist), Arrested Development (Gene Parmesan), and most recently Dads (Crawford Whittemore). Life in Pieces airs Thursdays at 8:30pm on CBS.
