On the Bones episode “The Promise in the Palace,” when Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) aren’t arguing over the tooth-fairy at home, they’re trying to solve the murder of an escape artist whose body was found in the woods. The investigation leads them to the owner of The Magic Palace, Lenny Jay.
Lenny Jay is portrayed by Jay Thomas. NCIS New Orleans fans were recently treated to a performance by Thomas on the episode “Confluence.” Thomas played the annoying witness who was set to testify at the trial of an arms dealer but then got ambushed. Thomas is best known for his roles on Ray Donovan (Marty Grossman), Murphy Brown (Jerry Gold), Cheers (Eddie LeBec, Carla’s husband), and wait for it, Mork & Mindy (Remo DaVinci). Bones airs Thursdays at 8pm on FOX.
