Phor is one of the stars on the new reality show Black Ink Crew: Chicago. He’s a tattoo artist at Ryan Henry’s 9Mag. When the 28-year-old isn’t tattooing during the day, he’s making music at night. “Music is my life and tattooing is my business,” Phor introduces himself on the show. “To be great in this business, you have to believe in yourself, have confidence.”

All of Phor’s co-stars on Black Ink Crew: Chicago describe him as a rock star. “He puts all his energy into his music,” says fellow tattoo artist Kat. Receptionist Danielle chimes in: “During the day he’s this humble, cool, calm tattoo artist but the second he gets on stage you’re like ‘who are you?’” Phor’s storyline is about pursuing his dream, having his voice heard.
