Last week Stephen Colbert said that Donald Trump has “zero chance to be president.” Colbert rhetorically told Trump, hey it’s been great but get out of the way now. But candidate Trump knows Colbert isn’t Nate Silver, and Trump has other ideas. (Though Nate Silver does line up with Colbert.) Trump’s candidacy isn’t just a fame-hunt and a media barnstorming to table issues like immigration reform and money in politics, it’s real. Trump wants the job, he told Chris Cuomo on CNN’s “New Day” Tuesday morning.
Trump has said he’d continue to run only if he believes he can win — a position that surprises nobody. But Trump hasn’t yet seen any reason to alter his belief in his presidential prospects. “I’m leading every poll,” he told Cuomo. “I’m going all the way and I’m going to win.”
