Marcus Lemonis is the star of the reality TV show The Profit on CNBC. When not working as CEO of Camping World which merged with Good Sam Enterprises in 2011, Lemonis helping fledgling small businesses turn themselves around. What a lot of people don’t know about Lemonis is that he was born in 1973 in war-torn Beirut, Lebanon. He lived in an orphanage for nine months before he was adopted by an American family in Miami. “I’m the true American dream,” he says. On The Profit Lemonis reveals his adoption history to the owners of Bentley’s Corner Barkery, a health food store for pets in Chicago. Bentley’s owners adopted a child who needed an expensive surgery which affected the family business. The Profit airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
