Rent Like A Champion is a website that lists apartments and houses that are available to rent during weekend college football games and graduations. It’s a good alternative to hotels which tend to sell out quickly and are usually located miles away from the stadium. Homeowners decide how much they want to charge. Rent Like A Champion handles the listing, contracts, and payment. To list on the website is free. But if a homeowner gets a bite, they are charged a 15% fee to handle the transaction — from contract to payment to check-out.

Note to Renters: Rent Like A Champion will charge a 9% service fee, and you need to approve a $1000 hold/authorization on your credit card to set aside in case of damage. If no damages occur, the hold will be released within 48 hours of check-out (which is usually Sunday at noon). P.S. Rent Like A Champion is looking to reach more college towns. Half the company’s business is in South Bend, Indiana, home of the Fighting Irish. They will pitch the business on Shark Tank on October 30, 9pm on ABC.
