Barbara Corcoran’s Worst Investment on Shark Tank…
An inventor from Ames, Iowa who goes by the name Cactus Jack pitched his fitness machine Body Jac on Shark Tank in 2009. Cactus Jack was considered a strange pitchman for the device as he was 30 lbs. overweight, bearded and wore a cowboy hat. But he did bring his bodybuilding daughter on the show to demonstrate the product. Kevin Harrington of “As Seen on TV” and real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran made a deal with Jack – each gave him $90k. But Barbara had a contingency – she’d give him the money only if Jack loses his extra weight by using Body Jac.

Cactus Jack did lose the weight and went on to ring the NASDAQ bell with the stars of Shark Tank in April 2011, but the deal fell apart. Corcoran told SharkTankBlog.com that it was “her worst investment in the Shark Tank.” The Body Jac is no longer for sale. Cactus Jack went on to promote Slobber Sauce, an “all-in-one nutritional vitamin spray for dogs.” (See video below).
