On Married to Medicine, the ladies and their husbands think it’s a good idea to travel together to the Bahamas. It’s the classic reality TV show ploy to get cast members drunk and emotional and the cast of Married to Medicine is no exception. Even on the lovely beaches of the Bahamas, Mariah Huq can’t let go of the past which is too bad because her husband Dr. Aydin Huq was enjoying himself, dancing with the natives. But by sundown, over dinner, when Dr. Eugene Harris (Toya Bush-Harris’ husband) starts talking about how they’re all family, Mariah breaksdown. “That’s bullshit,” says Mariah. She starts crying and turns to her husband, “I told you I wasn’t ready for this.”

Mariah is referring to the fact that none of “the family” came to visit her after she miscarried her twins earlier this year. Her husband tries to comfort her but he can’t force her to let go of the past. Dr. Aydin Mominul Huq is an ER physician in Atlanta. He received his medical degree from Bangladesh Medical College (1999), where he’s from, and did residencies in the US at Morehouse School of Medicine (2003-2006) and Emory University (2006-2009). Married to Medicine airs Sundays at 9pm on Bravo.
