WAGS star Olivia Pierson is frustrated with being single. So she allows herself to get set up on a date with former NFL player Shawne Merriman. The 31-year-old ex-linebacker played with the San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills. He retired in 2012. Merriman’s former girlfriend, reality TV star Tila Tequila, accused Merriman of choking her when she tried to leave his home in 2009. He was arrested but the charges were dropped.

There were rumors of Shawne “Lights Out” Merriman joining the WWE in 2014 but that didn’t pan out. And then in January 2015, Japanese martial arts event GANRYUJIMA said it was negotiating with Merriman for him to be a fighter, but that didn’t pan out either. On WAGS, when Pierson gets stood up by Merriman, she breaks down in tears. “That’s so lame,” she cried to her friend on the phone. But maybe it’s a blessing in disguise.
