A red-haired man in Britain is on trial for plotting to assassinate Prince Charles and Prince William so that royal ginger Prince Harry could ascend the throne. Go ahead, read that bit again, I’ll wait. Mark Colborne, a self-professed Aryan and ginger extremist, planned to spray his victims with cyanide, according to the Mirror. Colborne compared himself to Timothy McVeigh and Anders Breivik, and claimed that his plan to kill the princes – as well as Jews and non-whites – would “put a major dent in England, one that is felt around the world.”

Colborne felt isolated – surrounded by “blacks and Caucasian idiots” – and “cursed” because of his red hair. “He clearly had experienced a troubled childhood and perceived himself as marginalised because he is a white, ginger-haired male, which he seemed to see as the source of all of his problems in life,” the prosecutor told the jury. Colborne had collected books on making poisons and explosives, had researched how to make nerve gas and had bought the necessary chemicals to make cyanide. It’s not clear how he planned to get close enough to the royals to kill them.
