The Air Jordan 11 IE Low comes back in a retro release this weekend. The $170 kicks look good with a black/gum colorway with a crocodile style upper. The classic Air Jordan 11 E Low Cobalt got released in August and did brisk business, even though both these shoes must wave from afar at the success of the patent leather Air Jordan 11 Lows, one of the most popular of all Air Jordan releases.
Nike says the patent leather Air Jordan 11 followed “followed MJ’s insight of bringing a formal look to the court, using patent leather for the first time in an athletic shoe.” The new retro release of the AJ IE Low won’t take over the patent leather’s place in the Air Jordan pantheon, but it’s a cool signature for the Jordan lover walking a slightly different path.
