NBA player LeBron James announced that his company SpringHill Entertainment has forged a partnership with Warner Bros. King James said he’s excited to share his “amazing stories” with the legendary Warner Bros. The partnership will include “plans for projects in television, film and original digital content.”
Rumors abound one of those projects is Space Jam 2. The original 1996 Space Jam starred NBA star Michael Jordan, and it cost $80 million to make Jordan appear seamlessly with all of those Looney Tunes characters (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Roadrunner, et al.). The recently released Pixels, which also features actors (Adam Sandler) interacting with animated characters cost an estimated $110 million. How much do you think Warner Bros. is willing to budget for Space Jam 2?
