New LA Clippers forward Josh Smith is getting pilloried for saying how “hard” making just $6.9 million this year will be on him and his family. (And you wonder why Detroit just let Smith walk out the door, essentially paying him to leave.) BTW, the Clippers will continue to get what they deserve, whatever that may be: the team had to practically kidnap DeAndre Jordan to keep him from leaving.
But this illustrious bunch of zillionaire (so-far) underachievers keeps up the hope by signing Smith, whether his family will struggle or not. The Twitter feed of former NBA 6th man of the year Jamal Crawford (@jcrossover), a lethal scorer for the Clippers, just last year told his followers to follow Smith. Crawford called Josh Smith “one of the best all-around talents in the league!” They’re on the same team now. Until further notice anyway.
@toosmoove5 –everyone follow him ASAP!! One of the best all-around talents in the league!
