CBS has taken on the challenge of turning James Patterson’s novel Zoo into a TV show. The protagonist is Jackson Oz, a young scientist who’s working as a safari guide in Africa. A rash of violent animal attacks has Oz fearing that his late father’s controversial theory about animals posing a threat to the human race is becoming a reality.
[Who Is Jackson Oz’s Dead Father on ‘Zoo’?]
Jackson Oz is portrayed by James Wolk. He’s best known for his roles in Mad Men (Bob Benson), The Crazy Ones (Zach Cropper), and Shameless (Adam). Fun fact about Wolk: After graduating from the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Wolk moved to New York where, in between auditions, he worked as a wedding DJ. Zoo airs Tuesdays at 9pm on CBS.
