Recalls are usually less urgent that this. But Fiat Chrysler is warning some owners of brand new 2015 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee models that driving their vehicles could put them in immediate danger. The release from the company says this stop driving now order applies to “approximately 65 drivers.” The cars are being recalled for having potentially bad suspensions that could hinder rear-end stability and, most importantly, affect the ability to brake quickly. There have been no related injuries so far.
The company is also recalling “approximately 7,690” vehicles because they were manufactured in the same “eight-day period” as the 65 that are believed imminently dangerous. An unnamed component supplier was blamed for supplying the part that malfunctions. Check here for your vehicle’s status: http://recalls.mopar.com/ or https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/.
