Remember Charles Lester, the dangerous lawyer/henchman of Chicago drug lord Lemond Bishop on The Good Wife? He’s the one who threatens witnesses to make sure Bishop remains a free man. Well, Charles Lester is coming back for the season finale of The Good Wife on May 10 (9pm, CBS). He’s going to try to intimate Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) but Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) will return just one more time, risking her life, to save Alicia one more time.
Charles Lester is portrayed by the legendary actor Wallace “Wally” Shawn. He’s best known for his roles in Woody Allen’s Manhattan, The Princess Bride, and My Dinner with Andre. Fun family facts about Shawn: his father was William Shawn, editor of The New Yorker, his sister-in-law is author Jamaica Kincaid (A Small Place, Lucy, See Now Then), and his long-time partner is short-story writer Deborah Eisenberg.
