David and Deborah Meniane are a husband and wife entrepreneurial team. Both were born in Paris and are now living in the States. One of the things they missed about France was Almond Water (“orgeat” in French). So David asked his French grandmother Victoria for her Almond Water recipe and voila! now the Menianes are living the American dream with their new American Almond Water beverage business.
Victoria’s Kitchen Almond Water is made of almond, vanilla, rose extracts and a hint of sweetness (cane sugar). The Menianes have extended the Victoria’s Kitchen brand to include Almond Water Coconut and Organic Ginger Lemonade. Here’s the catch: a 12-pack of 16 oz. drinks costs $24. The good news is, one can is only 55 calories.
