A giant typhoon massing over the Pacific Ocean may be poised for a direct hit on the Philippines, possibly hitting northern Luzon on Easter Sunday. Filipinos have a visual of what may be in store because astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti is posting images of the storm–called Typhoon Maysak–from the International Space Station.
Classified as a Super Typhoon earlier in the week, Typhoon Maysak has since been downgraded. It’s still powerful, however: with winds over 130 mph Maysak is like a category 4 hurricane. Check out this Vine from the Space Station and the images below:
