When The Walking Dead returns to AMC next month, Rick Grimes and his friends will have a host of new problems to face, now that they are back on the road. If the show’s writers are stuck for ideas, perhaps they should consider introducing a zombie cat. A pet-owner in Tampa Bay is mystified today after his beloved cat, Bart, came back from the dead five days after he was buried.
Ellis Hutson found Bart lying in a pool of blood after being hit by a car. He buried the cat, but several days later neighbors spotted the animal, bloody and bruised, roaming the neighborhood. Vets think that the “zombie cat” was unconscious when Hutson buried him; he woke up in his grave and clawed his way out. Bart suffered head trauma and is now blind in one eye, but is expected to survive (having presumably used up one of his nine lives). I don’t know; if I was Hutson, I’d make sure Bart didn’t bite me.
