Robert Powells, the president and co-founder of Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops, works undercover at his company on “Undercover Boss” (CBS, January 23). Rocket Fizz franchises are where you can find old fashioned candy, hard to find candy, and more than 500 different flavors of soda including Rocket Fizz Soda flavors like Bacon, Buffalo Wing, Key Lime Pie. There is also a line of celebrities’ flavors (Snooki’s Wild Cherry and Rowdy Roddy Piper All Out Bubble Gum).
Rocket Fizz was founded in 2007. But Powells says it wasn’t easy. When 13 banks turned him down for a loan, he traveled to Asia and bought a sh!tload of fake dog poop. He sold it quickly in the States and that’s how Rocket Fizz was funded. There are now 42 Rocket Fizz shops across the US.
