Jose Costa, the Venezuela-born president of Maaco, goes on the TV show Undercover Boss to check in on his body shops. Disguised, Costa learns how difficult it is to spray paint things including garbage receptacles. “You messed up real bad,” one of his more helpful employees tells him. “You learn what you can get away with, you know, you need to cut corners,” a less helpful employee advises. Like all the Undercover Bosses, Costa bites his tongue while in disguise.
On a Maaco car lot, Costa – aka Alberto – is told by a guy named Rambo that he drives like an old lady. You can watch all the humiliating scenes on Friday, January 2 at 8pm on CBS.
