Andressa Urach, just a few years removed from second place as Miss Bumbum, has been hospitalized after a plastic surgery procedure to increase the “volume” of her thighs went horribly wrong. (All dieters who dislike the “volume” of their thighs can shake their heads now.) The 27-year-old Urach was actually having the volume-increasing gel removed. She had used double the recommended amount of the gel, according to the Daily Mail. Urach is reportedly in “serious condition.” The body-filler gel caused a debilitating infection.
Miss Bumbum, the popular butt beauty contest in Brazil, has been rocked by scandal before. Last year there was widespread speculation that bribery decided the winner. Though 25-year-old winner Dai Macedo’s 42-inch butt must have had something to do with it, money or not. The 2012 runner-up Andressa Urach, who measured upwards of 42 inches, later made news with claims that her butt was irresistible to Real Madrid soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Urach claimed Ronaldo cheated on his girlfriend with her.
