Sue Ann Hamm, the ex-wife of oil magnate Harold Hamm, won more than $1 billion in their divorce but is now appealing the judgment saying it “undervalues the marital wealth she is entitled to.” Harold Hamm is believed to own more oil than any other American.
Sue Ann Hamm’s lawyer, Rob Barber, said “Sue Ann is disappointed in the outcome of this case. She dedicated 25 years as Harold’s faithful partner in family and business.” The Hamms were married in 1988 and have two children. Mr. Hamm founded Continental Oil (“America’s Oil Champion”), the source of his wealth, 20 years before the marriage.
