TV talk show lawyer Nancy Grace is being sued by the falsely accused ‘selfie stalker.’ A photo of Ben Seibert appeared on a crime victim’s cellphone. But even after authorities had cleared him of any wrongdoing, Grace continued to air Seibert’s photo. The suit claims that Grace didn’t check the facts. The photo shown was Seibert’s Facebook photo that was not taken at the victim’s home as reported.
Police told Grace her broadcast was false, but “she continued to air it.” The lawsuit seeks more than $100,000 in damages. Seibert is also suing Crime Stoppers, which also “refused to stop publishing his picture even after Denver police notified the organization of the mistake.”
