Former child star and now evangelical Christian Kirk Cameron of Growing Pains said he always wanted to be a waiter so he had fun putting on a headset and working at a local Chick-fil-A’s drive thru. Why now, you ask? Cameron is promoting the heck out of his Saving Christmas movie, which is all about putting Christ back into Christmas.
Cameron went on Rob Dempsey’s radio show “HIS radio” and said he was “deprived of being a waiter” like most actors because he never needed to wait tables in order to make ends meet. Rob Dempsey’s crew filmed Cameron’s live performance at the drive thru. He tried to prank customers but most of the jokes fell flat. When a middle-aged woman ordered a kid’s meal, Cameron said, you don’t sound like a kid, how old are you? The woman asked to speak to the manager.
