A story about revenge sex, STDs and Nazis? If that doesn’t get hits on a website, nothing will. Plus it has an exotic Eastern European flavor. A Czechoslovakian nurse assigned German patients during World War II is being honored for her heroic bedroom antics: she slept with several Nazis in order to give them sexually transmitted diseases. The mystery nurse’s name has been lost to history: we’re going to call her Nurse Nina the Nubile Nemesis of Nazis. Initially shunned by her fellow villagers as a whore for sleeping with the enemy, the nurse now has a plaque commemorating her deeds.
Lawyer Karel Friml is leading the campaign to remember her. He said that “she was assigned to look after wounded German soldiers and began affairs with them.’ Taking “maybe six, maybe ten, maybe more” German officers to her bed was “her resistance and vengeance for the rape of her country and her personal rape.” The nurse was eventually found out and shot by the Gestapo. Her legacy is not without controversy. “Some say she was a slut and spread sexually transmitted diseases among German officers,” says Friml. “Others say she was a real patriot who was raped and infected by the Nazis and she decided to get her revenge.”
