Italian nurse Daniela Poggiali is accused of killing up to 38 patients because she found them and their relatives “annoying.” According to a local newspaper, Corriere della Sera, Poggiali was arrested on suspicion of poisoning a 78-year-old patient by an injection of potassium chloride. Poggiali’s co-workers told the newspaper that they believed she would “often sedate patients if she found them bothersome during her shift.”
The nurse has tweeted only eight times but Poggiali is clearly a big soccer fan. While she’s fond of the Italian team JuventusFC, she also likes and follows Arturo Vidal, Kaka, Zabi Alonso, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kwadwo Asamoah, among others. Her last tweet was in April, one month after her 78-year-old patient was allegedly killed. She sent a message to Ghana footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng, congratulating him on the birth of his new son.
